1983 Alfa Romeo GTV-6 - $2500 (vallejo / benicia / fairfield)

Silver with black leather interior. Factory steel sunroof, A/C, electric windows, and electic mirrors. California car from new, I'm the second owner having bought it in 1991. 232,800 miles but properly maintained with extensive records. Water pump and timing belt done 1/02. Rear calipers and rotors replaced 4/05.

Modifications: European 3.0 liter engine with corresponding computer and airflow meter (smog last done in March 2004). Milano platinum transaxle with drilled gears for faster shifts and less stress on synchros (4.10 final drive, limited slip). Shankle suspension lowered 2" (torsion bars, springs, and sway bars), Koni shocks. 7" x 15" Stilauto wheels with new 225/60 x 15 tires. Drilled brake rotors, Sparco pedals, shortened bumper mounts. Roll bar and fire extinguisher.

Fast and handles well, strong mechanically. I used this with good results in the Alfa Romeo Time Trial series usually placing in the top 3 (Willow Springs 11/96 1st with 1:40, Las Vegas 1/97 2nd with 2:04, Willow Springs 3/97 2nd with 1:41, Laguna Seca 4/97 4th with a 1:56, etc.).

Cosmetics are weak: original paint is faded with some loss of clear coat, interior leather has shrunk with some split seams, dash has typical cracks. A/C compressor is seized.

I've been an enthusiastic Alfa owner since 1979 and been a club member since then. Additional pictures available. The engine and transaxle alone are worth what I'm asking - get rest of the car for free.
