1983 GTV6 3.0

After my '82 GTV6 was crunched, I kind of gave up the thought of a 3.0 GTV6.  However, in my never ending search for the 'right' Berlina, I stumbled across this ad in the Bay Area section of Craigslist.  Clean, straight car, rough paint, solid mechanicals, with all the good mods already done!  How could I resist!  For the $2500 asking price, I was expecting it to need a fair amount of mechanical work as well, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that, while the paint and interior were rough, the PO had taken excellent mechanical care of the car.  I gave it a pretty good going over, then took it to one of my bosses track days a week later, where, other than overheating rear brakes, it ran trouble free for the entire day!

I had the seats redone, and left the car with Mark, who'd done such a great job on my '72 GTV.  Some pics of it in primer can be found here.

This car is a keeper, stay tuned for more pictures and reports!

Update, March 27, it's back from being painted.  First pictures can be seen here.  Mark added some real nice touches, blacking out the area around the tail lights (couldn't get good pictures, it was too close to the wall), and blacking out the hood around the tea tray area.
